Campagnolo Record X 1x13s Crankset
The new aero single-chainring crankset developed for Record X is the result of an engineering project aimed at combining structural stiffness, mechanical efficiency, lightness, and functional aerodynamicsâwithout ever compromising the distinctive design that defines every Campagnolo product.
The chainring, made from aerospace-grade aluminum, features a completely redesigned tooth profile, directly evolved from the experience gained with Ekar. This development ensures optimal chain engagement, consistent traction even through dead spots, and outstanding stabilityâeven on the most demanding terrain. The new surface finish enhances wear resistance, delivering consistent performance even under extreme conditions.
Campagnolo offers one of the widest gear ranges available: six chainring optionsâ38, 40, 42, 44, 46, and 48 teethâwith the possibility to extend up to 52, covering every need from adventure gravel to high-performance riding. Within an integrated platform approach, the chainrings are shared with the Super Record range, ensuring maximum compatibility. Paired with the 13-speed cassette X (10â48), this creates a complete, advanced, and highly versatile drivetrain system, offering riders extensive freedom of choice. In the same ecosystem logic, Super Record X cassettes are also compatible, further expanding modularity and configuration possibilities.
Campagnoloâs iconic design is expressed through exposed carbon fiber crank arms, enhanced by the dedicated âRecord Xâ brandingâa symbol of the attention to detail and craftsmanship that have always defined the brand.
The crankset is built around the proven Ultra-Torque system with a steel spindle (ASTM2), here optimized in length to ensure full compatibility with modern gravel frames (Q-factor: 152 mm; chainline: 47.5 mm). The system is completed by the new QCK-Tech bottom bracket and Campagnolo low-friction bearings, protected by a dual sealing system: an inner seal safeguarding the bearings and a patented outer seal positioned between the spindle and bearings, effectively shielding them from mud and dust to ensure long-term durability and efficiency.
Carbon crank arms are available in three lengthsâ165, 170, and 172.5 mmâto precisely match different biomechanical requirements.
The new Record X aero crankset represents the beating heart of a drivetrain engineered to deliver top-level performance across any terrain.
